Senior Profiles 2022

Anna Belfon

Gardening and traveling are my passion outside of anything art or design-related. I think after I graduate, I need to take the time to tap back into my hobbies (when you get here, definitely do this). Even if I don't get the opportunity to, there's a whole list of things I want to learn and do. I'm excited to see what life has to offer going forward!

Brandon Bittner

As a designer, I'm always eagerly searching for my any opportunities to learn and grow. Wile I have interests in all areas of design, I get super excited about branding, illustration, typography, and creative strategy. However, my overall goal as a designer is simply to make cool things with cool people!

Nick DiNallo

I swore I was an inventor growing up. I loved making things and coming up with new ways of doing things, so I went to school to be an engineer. Best mistake I've ever made. That decision landed me at Philadelphia University in 2014. A very arduous 8 years later I find myself graduating from (now) Jefferson University with a Bachelors of Science in Visual Communication Design, and soon I'll be doing what I've loved all along, inventing. Coming up with new ways to make our planet a better, easier, happier and more accessible place to live through sustainable design and typography.

Peyton Dobson

Hiya! I'm Peyton, I love to read and create! As an upcoming designer, I enjoy creating branding the most and doing multiple logo renditions. I am a proud wiz in color theory and love to see how I can expand my palettes. I'm a sucker for creating a cohesive system due to my perfectionist gene. Most of all, I Iove to bring my studio art skills into the digital world and see how far I can push myself and my designs.

Things won't always be perfect. Enjoy the unexpected and persevere.

Maura Farrell

I have interest in photography, specifically photographing my sister's band when they are playing live. I have an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts from Montgomery County Community College, where I fell in love with Typography. I was exposed to some screen printing this semester and I would love to explore more in that field. Outside of school I enjoy reading when I have a free minute, my favorite author is James Patterson. I also dog-sit for family and friends when they need someone to care for their fur covered family members.

Katie Fulcher

As a designer, I would say I'm particularly invested in design that has a lasting impact. Whether that impact be life-altering or mundane, I intend on designing with that purpose. For the future, I would love to continue to design experiences in design that stay with people. The kind that makes you rethink daily life. Outside of my 6 years of school, I've found myself identifying the anti-design of the world and it consumes me. Poor communication design is everywhere and I can't help but think it's our duty (or passion ;D) to point it out and improve upon it.

Jee Gay

Outside of design as a designer, I often enjoy going on trips like hiking, beach and going to parks with family and friends for BBQ. My goal in life would be to get a good design firm and get on with life. Always do the right thing, respect those who are older than you, and always say thank you even if you are having a bad day. You are more than you think you are.

Josh Goode

I didn't know that I would have such a passion for design until I graduated high school. At first I was on a bumpy road, but as more time went by, I found myself immersed in the world of design with a loving passion for it. With design, I want to be able to express my creativeness and use it to make an impact on the world. I specialize in branding, UX/UI, and illustration design. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to work on your time management and create a detailed schedule for each week to produce the best results and stay on top of your work. Outside of design, you can find me taking pictures, listening to music, drawing, reading fantasy books, and playing video games.

Matthew Michalak

Hola! 👋🏻 I’m Matt. My passion for being creative has led me to pursue my B.S. in Graphic Design Communication here at Thomas Jefferson University. Outside of keeping my head buried in my computer, you can find me working on my photography, playing video games, and at the gym (obviously).

Senior Quote: “Ya know…crop marks ain’t bad.”

Antonia Milas

I've been interested in the visual arts for as long as I can remember, and have a special passion for illustration. During the college search, I had trouble deciding between a career in that and the natural sciences. Graphic design gives me the opportunity to combine the two, through collaborating with and learning from different types of professionals to create work that conveys information more easily to a general audience. I’d love to someday design or illustrate for a scientific organization. Outside of art and design, I enjoy hiking by day and astrophotography by night. I also have a passion for traveling.

Tessa Peña

Coming from a family of creatives, I’ve grown up exploring many forms of art and media which has led me to pursing a career in graphic design. I’ve studied various sub-disciplines of design as well, such as information design, illustration, and photography, and aspire to continue working in the city post-graduation. When I’m not designing, I love to spend my time traveling, running, and caring for my house plants.

Jenifer Spencer

Over the past four years at Jefferson, my passions for branding, illustration and typography have grown significantly and made me excited for my future in design. Outside of the design realm, you can find me playing lacrosse, taking portrait photos, reading or cooking.

Cole Tomko

As a designer, I have always been interested in 90s and early 2000s design so I try to design as analog as I can to achieve the look and feel. Outside of design, I attend as many concerts as possible, gamble all my money on the under and shoot film photography. My goals are to one day work for my favorite bands.

@coletomko

Aryana Shah

Hello my name is Aryana Shah. I am a graduate of Jefferson University, and majored in Graphic Design Communication. My design skill sets include typography, information design, print design and branding. My goal is to gain work experience and exposure in diverse aspects of Graphic Design. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and water-sports. Some advice I would give to an upcoming senior in graphic design is to never give up and expand your design skills to get comfortable working in different fields.
