D4 S22 Personal Identity
Aidan Roe
I was tasked with designing a resume, business card, and design sheet for personal use. For the promotional package, I started with testing many sets of type pairings. While doing this, I also tested distinct levels of hierarchy with parts of my resume. I eventually came across a type pairing that suits me and started iterating my personal type logo. While working on my logo, I also experimented with many layouts for my resume, business card, and design sheet. I learned about typography on grids and working within a system across various items.

The purpose of this project was to create a personal promotion package that included our resume highlighting some of our achievements or work experience, a design sheet to showcase one or two of our best projects, and a business card with our own original logo design. During this project I had to first collect all the content I needed in order to make the correct typography choices on my resume and design sheet since there were times when hierarchy was needed to show the significance of headings compared to body text. Then before I made the final copy of my business card I had to do multiple sketches of my logo so that it can feel coexistent with the rest of the design style from my resume and design sheet.

For this assignment we were asked to build a personal package, which included a business card, a resume and a design sheet. All of this was designed to help establish unity between our own work and develop a personal identity within the design world.

We were tasked with creating a resume, project sheet, and business card that showed who we are as designers and our personalities. Each piece had to have very neat and nice type and use a grid system to keep the layout neat.
