Problem: We noticed that National parks have become an increasingly popular tourist attraction, the controversy surrounding the national environments increase due to the residue that tourists leave behind.

Solution: Actaeon foundation is to help, protect and enhance America's National Park System for present and future generations. We’re an organization that is starting off in local Philadelphia parks such as John Heinz refuge, Cobbs creek, valley forge, and the Wissahickon. We want to help fight for the preservation of land, water and clean air. A foundation founded by the government allowing us to enter into local parks and educate; the community.

For this project, we were tasked with creating an educational brand. My group was assigned the idea of sustainability, so we decided to address 1st and 2nd graders, teachers and their parents. We ultimately came up with Grow as a way to teach them about gardening, how to garden, knowing where your food is coming from and ultimately emphasizing creativity and community through gardening.

My Brand entity is called Actaeon which is based off of the greek titan (Actaeon) who is the titan that protects wildlife and nature. Our foundation exists to protect, preserve and ensure the future of America's national parks. A big problem in todays world is the raising levels of pollution especially in areas like The Great Barrier Reef, and The Andes to which much of the existing ecosystems have been destroyed. Noticing this, Actaeon aims to prevent that level of destruction in America's national parks. The three ways that we will do so is through the website which goes over pollution information, showcases national parks across America, and provides connections to community service organizations along with what you as an individual can do to protect these parks. Next is our trail guide that allows you to take action while you are out in the field along with providing you with local park information and tips on what you can do while in these parks. It is made from 100% recycled paper and is bound by a carabiner so that you can clip it to your belt. Lastly, there is the Actaeon mobile app/game, which allows you to build your own unique park system, raise money to expand it, and take care of it and it's pollution levels. These are the three entities that are used to build the Actaeon brand.
